Over the past couple of decades, I have spent considerable time searching for solutions to various programming & system administration issues.
For many years, we used Microsoft tools exclusively for application design and database systems. In the past few years, I have been working with Linux systems, predominately Debian, and open-source software to lower the acquisition costs of software and systems for clients.
Open-source and Windows platforms differ in many areas, but one significant area is documentation. I find it is often necessary to do fairly extensive Internet research when trying to find answers to issues in Linux.
With that in mind, I am going to list information I come across in this blog with the hopes it will be indexed by the search engines and help others as well.
Any group policy path for this, so that we can avoid using regedit?
In Windows 10:
Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options\Shutdown: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on security policy setting.
